  • 1/3 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 cups ripe peaches, diced
  • 1/2 cup + a little extra turbinado sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup whole milk (or dairy-free milk)
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tsp whole milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Dice the peaches and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and turbinado sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in milk and vanilla until combined.
  3. Sift in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Pour in the batter and sprinkle extra turbinado sugar on top.
  5. Bake for 50–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Let cool before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with whole milk to achieve desired consistency and drizzle over cooled bread.
