  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (optional but recommended)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • ½ cup chicken broth (or water for a lighter option)
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt softened butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, parsley, and optional dill.
  4. Pour in lemon juice, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir to create a smooth sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and cook for an additional 8–10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
