These festive bites combine the creamy richness of brie cheese with the tartness of cranberry sauce, all encased in crispy filo pastry. Topped with crunchy almond flakes and black sesame seeds, they not only taste delicious but also look stunning on any appetizer table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 sheets frozen filo pastry (thawed)
  • 50 g butter (melted)
  • 250 g brie (cut into long slices)
  • 275 g cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup flaked almonds
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line two baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. Place thawed filo sheets on a flat surface, divide them into thirds lengthwise, and cut in half widthwise to create 36 squares.
  3. Take one pastry sheet, cover the rest with a damp towel, and brush it with melted butter. Place a slice of brie at one end, add 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of almond flakes, and roll tightly to form a cracker shape. Seal both ends and repeat.
  4. Arrange the crackers on the baking trays. Brush with remaining butter and sprinkle black sesame seeds on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired before serving.
