Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 12 oz medium pasta shells
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • ¾ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot, cook pasta shells until al dente, and reserve ¾ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt, pepper, and paprika; sear until browned (3-5 minutes). Set aside.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Pour in cream and stir in cheeses and seasonings until smooth.
  4. Combine: Toss cooked pasta in the sauce; add reserved pasta water if needed. Return steak to skillet and mix gently.
