  • 10 oz. mushrooms (button or baby bella)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 34 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 ½ cups beef broth
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by washing and slicing the mushrooms. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown, then set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until tender. Sprinkle flour over them and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in beef broth along with soy sauce, onion powder, mustard powder, thyme, vinegar, garlic, and bouillon cube; bring to a simmer.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water to form a slurry and stir into the sauce until thickened.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet, coating it well in the sauce; simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Stir in heavy cream just before serving for added richness.
