  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons caramel syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted and cooled)
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • Topping: Sea salt and caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix wet ingredients: mashed bananas, vanilla extract, caramel syrup, melted butter (cooled), buttermilk, and beaten eggs until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix with a hand mixer until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and drizzle two tablespoons of caramel on top; swirl gently with a butter knife.
  6. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
