  • 3/4 cup wild blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons wild blueberries (for glaze)
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a non-stick donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, milk, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in wild blueberries.
  4. Fill each cavity of the donut pan two-thirds full with batter.
  5. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Let cool for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, mash the wild blueberries in a bowl with vanilla extract. Gradually add powdered sugar until you achieve your desired consistency.
